Finally, a Silhouette Cameo

I know, I owe you a book review.  I have an excuse for not having it.  I got a Silhouette Cameo in the mail Friday.

I played with it on my off time instead of finishing the book I'm reading.  I didn't say it was a good excuse.  Now I am looking forward to all the new things I can make.

Right now it is sitting on a folding table in my living room because my craft area is stuffed with garage sale items.

That picture was taken with my phone so not the greatest picture.  I've really just started playing with the features and the software.  I did have to cut something out so I chose a bookmark and a couple of bags.  I didn't take pictures since They were still on the rough side.  The bookmark is serving its purpose in the book I'm reading though.

I'm either going to have the garage sale I've been trying to do for two months, or donate everything.  Either way I hope to have some pictures of it in its new home soon.  If I have the garage sale, I can make some awesome signs with my Silhouette!

What would be the first thing you would make with a Silhouette?

  1. Congratulations!! Now you should get the pen holder attachment by Amy Chomas (Chomas Creations). I just got mine last week and I'm loving it! It makes the Silhouette TWICE as fun when you can cut and write!! (I am playing with my gelly roll pens plus the thin fonts bundle from lettering delights)

    1. I will have to check that out for sure. I am having a lot of fun just looking at the software.

  2. I've never even heard of a Cameo! I have the same dilemma at my house(s!), a garage full of stuff I think I should have a garage sale with, but I'm thinking about just calling a thrift shop and having them take it away. A garage sale sounds like a lot of work and I've never had one!

    1. I've done a lot of garage sales, but the subdivision we live in now doesn't allow them. That means hauling everything to my Mom's house, no fun. It also means we have a few years of accumulated stuff to get rid of. I just have to get the energy to finish it up.

  3. Jealous. I want a Silhouette! I don't even know what the first thing I'd do with a Silhouette. Maybe freezer paper stencil some shirts? Oh, that would be fun! :)

    Holla! We're your newest followers!

    1. Thanks for stopping by! I hadn't thought of using freezer paper in it.I just might have to try it.
